I love these socks! I have worn them on duty, hiking and on a 15 day of a 3 day tracking class. The socks held up well, they stayed put and kept my feet comfortable all day. My tracking class took place at about 10,000 ft. elevation and it was raining most of the day and my feet were never an issue. Can't wait to try them in the winter. I'll be getting more of these soon.

Nice sock. A little more loose fit than I would like but I am hoping they will get a tiny bit more snug with washing.

These socks are amazing! I last wore them out in the foothills with full gear with the temperature in the 90's. Despite the temperature and the activity the socks only felt slightly warm. They can slip around in your boot if the boot is loose around the foot. The sock feels as if it is supporting your foot and is possibly the most comfortable sock I have ever worn.

The wool socks were comfortable and form fitting. They have several regions with various amounts of snugness, but never felt constrictive. I wore them on a 12mi hike with no issues, but like the cotton version, don't wear these with ill-fitting shoes, they will slip within the shoe if there's a loose spot, causing a blister. If that's the case, toss the shoes, and keep the socks. They are very smooth and silky, similar to the first tactical cotton socks, so I think the actual wool content is quite small (maybe 25%?). I haven't worn them in the cold, or soggy conditions yet so I can't comment on their performance in conditions that you'd normally want a wool sock for, but I would take these into those conditions without hesitation and with confidence. At 3X the price of the cotton socks, the wool socks are more specialty for situations where you want a good fitting sock, but may encounter cold/wet conditions. If not, go with the first tactical cotton socks.
