Heel Strike Window

My initial impression was that they were REALLY LIGHT! I started wondering if they would hold up or not. I have had only one small stitch on the front of the right boot toe box that came out so far. I cut the excess and nothing else has unraveled. The treads seem to be holding up so far. My beat has urban and rural areas and there has been no time where I wondered if my boots would fail. I even had a foot pursuit and not once lost footing. My other boots could not boast that.
Comfort has been good. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day.
I have had to wash mud off of them, dressed some polish on them and could not observe any scratches or wear. They really have held up well.
They sent some free socks with the boots which I honestly can not figure out. They fit kind of like a dress sock and come up to my knees. I can not tell that they help with fatigue. Nice but I won't be buying any socks. I will however buy new boots when these have done their due.
The only thing I didn't like was the hardness of the soles, my feet would always ache after a shift. The fire station I'm at has hard granite floors, not the most forgiving on any shoes or boots. The very easy fix was a set of Orholite insoles, after slipping them the problem was solved. They wear well, and I've noticed they are fairly resistant to water. While they haven't experienced a good soaking they've warded off some spring downpours without an issue.
Great product, great look, and great customer service.
