  • Innovative Features

  • Flex Action Waist

Thoroughly tested in the field to meet the mobility requirements of top rated tactical pants, our unique sliding waistband allows extended motion and comfort during activity, with an extended gusset that runs through the crotch and inside leg for non-binding flexibility.

    Fortified Belt Loops

Three reinforced belt loops, located on sides and center back, stay strong under demanding loads of tactical or law enforcement gear. Durable webbing inserts, triple topstitching, and bartacks at key stress points eliminate concerns of ripping under force, while maximizing strength and security.

    Enhanced Pocket Design

More cargo pockets than most tactical pants on the market, coupled with multiple options for storage, security, and organization, means more gear available on the go. Layers of nylon fabric on the back and side pockets are tightly welded together for increased durability while shedding bulk and maintaining a polished, professional look throughout the life of the pants.

I've been wearing the 5.11 Stryke pants on the job for almost a year. I met a FT rep at an event and was impressed with what he had to show. I ordered a pair of the Tactix Tactical pants because it closely resembled the Stryke pant. Right out of the package, I liked what I saw. The rear pockets got rid of the flap that no one ever uses. Knife pocket, perfect size for my Iphone 6 and Galaxy S7...yes I have two phones =)

You know what? Just try them for yourself.

Very well made pants. The material is comfortable and rugged. I especially like the waistband, and the stay flat pocket flaps provide a very clean, professional look. The only negatives for me:
1. I would like the cargo pockets to be slightly wider
2. The magazine/sap pockets are too deep. Not wide enough for an AR magazine (and I wouldn't use it for this purpose if it was)and any other items drop to deep for quick access. It will fit a full length sap rather nicely, though. I would eliminate these pockets from future models or shorten them significantly
3. I would like to see them in OD or a darker shade of Khaki/Coyote Brown. The tan are more of a stone color and show dirt pretty quickly.

All in all, I am very pleased with them and would/will make future purchases. I also have a pair of the BDU pants and like them as well

I'm not in public safety but I wear these pants as my "go to" pants for travel and love them! The pockets.....placement, depth, varying size and ease of access.....are great for keeping my wallet, phone, passport, etc., separate but well organized and easily accessible from start to finish. Pants are a great fit and very comfortable and like other First Tactical products, very well thought out. Probably great for camping too!

Been wearing 5.11 forever and most recently Stryke pants. I must say First Tactical Tactix has a much better fit. Less baggy, better quality with deep front pockets and covert. All my pants are W34 L30 and yet W34 was too big for my Tactix. So loose it almost dropped at airport security after removing my belt. Instead of returning, I ordered W32 and it is perfect. I will save the larger pair for emergency. Length of pants is spot on. Waits band is not super stretchy but gives just enough to be comfortable. I am on my knees a lot so need keen pad. Tactix is my first pair where pocket is on the outside rather than inside. It works very well and when I bend down the support is excellent. I also find my pads shift very little in Tactix. Possibly because opening is small, about 3 inches. Overall, very happy with purchase. If you are looking for 5.11 alternatives, this is IT A++++++

I started wearing the First Tactical (FT) tactical cargo pants on March 23, 2016. I would put them against the competitors any day. First Tactical attention to detail is easy to see, and feel. I wanted to see how they would hold up compared to my 511 Stryke pants, I was skeptical at first until I started walking and jogging, they did not bunch up or restrict me in any way. They kept a professional look throughout the day, even after walking in the rain. The water repelled off the pants, leaving a good feeling knowing I would not be walking around in wet pants. Pockets, Pockets, and more Pockets, if you need to get things off your belt there are plenty of pockets to place them in, and be readily available when needed. The pants are priced good for the quality you will get compared to the competitors pricing. I have washed the pants numerous times, inside out like the company recommends, and reversed to see if they faded. No fading can be seen at this time, nor have the pants shrunk due to drying. A side note they do run a size big. The only down fall is they are a little heavier "not by much" than the competitors. I would not hesitate to get another pair when needed.

The pants are comfortable to wear and professional looking. The waist runs slightly larger than size, I'm not sure if that's by design though. I like the laminated cargo pocket flaps, which stay up once they are opened. You wouldn't think this is much of a convenience but it is. the placement of the additional 4 side pockets provide extra storage without interfering with the cargo pockets. The navy color matches my uniform top almost exactly. The dividers within the cargo pockets are great. They are about 3"x5" which is perfect for my iphone 4, and a 3x5 notepad.
Some things I wish could be different are the 4 additional pockets run really deep, I guess it is not so much of a problem to run a little too deep because I am going to sew one or two of them shorter. I would have liked to have the two rear pockets open up diagonally instead of having the horizontal openings, It is just easier to access when wearing a duty belt.
all-in-all they are a reasonable priced and well thought out design.

Fit and quality of construction exceeds any of the other vendors on the market. Most comfortable pants I have worn. The waist band is key. Plenty of pockets. The fabric is medium weight, lays well without wrinkling. The knee pads are dual density and are much better for protecting against small rocks. Overall a very nice "tactical" pant that doesn't scream tactical pant when you're not going full battle rattle...

Got these to replace a worn pair of 5.11's. These pants wit and wear well, and do not wrinkle much during travel! The material is rugged and durable. All in all a great replacement for my 5.11's!
tjzimman from Northern Colorado on Dec 29, 2015
These pants are well made, fit well and have a nice feel to them. I find the pockets well placed and not bulky.
I deducted 1 star only because I don't know how the navy color will fade over time. Our agency wears navy over navy and how they fade will just take time. Overall, these are much better made than the other vendor we all have been buying.
