We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Custom Shop Supervisor to join our team at the global headquarters in Modesto, CA. As
the Custom Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
operations of our custom shop, ensuring high quality and timely completion of all custom
projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control processes, monitoring
inventory levels, and providing training to new employees.
Reports to: Custom Shop Manager
Location: On-site at the Global Headquarters in Modesto,CA.
Pay: $28-32/hour
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the custom shop, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
- Manage and mentor a team providing guidance and support throughout the project process
- Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, design, and production, to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction
- Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and exceed expectations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies
- Provide training and onboarding for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in custom shop operations or a related field
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Embroidery, Heat press, Direct to garment/film techniques and materials
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Excel/Google Sheets
- Email communication
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding high-quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
cross-functionally
Physical Demands/Work Conditions:
- Working inside a warehouse
- Squatting, twisting, bending, carrying, and lifting between 10-50 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Stand for prolonged periods of time
- Repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
