Our women's uniform solution was designed by Diane Gallagher. Diane is the VP of product development with First Tactical and one of the unsung founders of what has become the everyday Tactical market.
With decades of experience in apparel from her start at eSprit to creating what would become the iconic first tactical pant alongside one of the founders of Yosemite's climbing scene to bringing that experience to Innov8 Brands which is home to First Tactical.
As a result, First Tactical has create a full line of women's uniforms based on our game changing V2 fabric. Ranging from Class A & Class B shirts and pants with solutions for everything from LE to Fire/EMS. Anatomically correct to give the ultimate in comfort for our female first responders. Because the job is the same.
FIT & FUNCTION
Our women’s line wasn’t an afterthought to our men’s offering. It had to be as functional in all of the same places as a men’s uniform would be.
Women have fundamentally different physical structures in comparison to the average male.
Shouders are narrower compared to a males’, who’s broader. Chest is of course obviously different requiring more room than for a man.
Hips have a lot more shape and extend out from the waist vs. men who’s hips tend to stack below their waist. Legs finally tend to be longer on a woman who have generally had shorter torsos compared to their male counterparts.
All of these factors went into creating the most comfortable and properly fitted uniform solution for our women first responders.
