This is an amazing pack! I use it for school and will use it for hunting with the rifle sleeve in the fall. I highly recommend it!

The only unfortunate thing I can say about this bag is they do not ship directly to Canada. I finally managed to get my pack when some friends visited their parents in the US and brought the bag back with them. I have been using it for about a month now and am very impressed with it. The fit and finish of the bag is exceptional. The organization of the different sections is well thought out and functional. The size of the bag is perfect for commuting and taking on patrol. I have used many other brands, (5.11, Maxpedition, Condor, Tru Spec,) and this has been the best bag that I have used. I have recommend First Tactical gear to my colleagues. I will be purchasing other bags and gear depending on friends travel to the US.

Awesome pack as it is the perfect size for anything. From hiking to school it works well as a day pack -of course- and is bigger than the AVG size school pack so it holds well.

The only thing that may be a downside is it has internal water bottle holder , so you need to buy an external, and no practical way for a camelpak or drink hose.

Overall great 1-day size pack.

I ordered a Specialist 1-Day backpack back towards the end of November and ever since receiving it I have been using it as my EDC bag for work in a federal prison. So far so good. The stitching has held up very well and the bag is very comfortable. The organization is pretty well thought out also. I really only have one observation that lead me to make a minor modification to the bag.

My previous bag (a tactical tailor product) has double knotted 550 cord zipper pulls which I love. They make getting into the bag a much smoother affair. I have since replaced all of the zipper pulls on my Specialist 1-Day pack with the same 550 cord pulls and the difference is significant. The zippers operate much more smoothly now. I think a switch to this style of zipper pull in production would be a sound choice. Thanks!

I wanted a day pack with all the nice features. This pack has it all. I found a safe place for my glasses when out having fun. The compression straps make it very easy to balance a load. It is easy to add side storage with a couple of add-on pouches for water and tools. The straps are comfy. Great all around pack.

Overall a good tactical bag, but there is very little information available on this bag. Would like to see FT make a video on the bag as they have with their other products.
Bag is good quality material, lightweight, and good stitching, seems that it will hold up very well to daily carry.
Would like to see more pockets for organization in the bag. There should be a pocket on the inside front of the admin pocket, there is a ton of lost space there. Also, the inside front of the main compartment has a small mesh zip pocket at the top, with long stash pocket below. The stash pockets are not very user friendly and do not seem to fit well within the bag. Would replace those stash pockets with more mesh pockets or another type of full zip pocket.
