I got it as an EDC and after loading it up it meets all my needs. One minor complaint, the zipper into the glasses pocket is a little on the small side. I have a glasses case to keep my frames from getting crushed, and I can barely squeeze them through the opening of the glasses pocket. If the glasses pocket was hardened to protect lenses from getting crushed, or if the opening was larger the bag would be 100% perfect.
I fully recommend this bag, it is awesome, and I'm thrilled to call it mine!
~ same size as the the competitor (but) hellalot more comfortable and one important thing I noticed straight away when wearing it, that stood out was . ..its placement on my back.
~ I am retired military and in a wheelchair, so I was looking for a pack that didn't ride too low, as I moved about in the chair, was easy to remove, and could take a beating without any compromises.
~ I used 2 of the competitor's packs (sling and strap versions) and though they did the job, I still had issues when it came to back placement and comfort.
~ when I placed this pack on my back, this pack was noticeably more comfortable and the straps are just amazing! (trust me on this, former 11B here)
~ its a perfect size, reminiscent of a small patrol pack (and) fits great on the back.
~ This is the perfect size for my specific needs, the chair, as it rides (just above) the chairs sport seatback, so it doesn't interfere with any movement . . .
~ the ONLY thing I would recommend to this pack, is that it had another (line) of velcro real estate added to both sections (top and main) as it would then be perfect (imo).
~ Do I recommend this pack? - YES.
